KazBurInvest JSC is an oil service company in Kazakhstan, included into KazPetroDrilling JSC company group. The work experience, professional team and reasonable prices enable the Company to act effectively and efficiently.

KazBurInvest JSC is a major independent drilling company in Kazakhstan that has been providing oil support services since 1965. The Company specialises in a wide range of well drilling, workover and abandonment, frac and well cementation services. Over 10 thousand people are currently employed by the Company.

Services

Well Workover

The Company provides oil and gas well workover and repair. There are 51 lifting units, such as Kremco-80, UPA-60, PAP-50 designed for a depth of up to 5,000 meters.

Types of well workover:

  • Repair and insulation;
  • Shutdown of separated watered formation intervals;
  • Shutdown of separate formations;
  • Elimination of failed integrity of top cement;
  • Elevation of top cement behind production and intermediary casing;
  • Elimination of failed integrity of production casing;
  • Elimination of failed integrity by plugging;
  • Elimination of failed integrity by plaster installation;
  • Elimination of failed integrity by running additional small-size casing;
  • Elimination of accidents in the course of operation or repair;
  • Retrieval of equipment from the hole after operational accident;

Mechanical Engineering

Kaskor-Mashzavod JSC and ZhigerMunayService LLP provide the following services:

  • Manufacturing and repair of drilling, oilfield, power and other equipment
  • Repair of pipes and tools.

ZhigerMunayService LLP also provides well construction, oil pipeline replacement and laying, pipe and tool repair services.

Frac Jobs

The frac job (FJ) is one of the effective means of production zone treatment in order to intensify production of liquid and gas hydrocarbons and ensure efficient oil and gas field development. The Company has all required frac equipment of any level of complexity:  

Frac equipment:

  • New generation control station;
  • Hydration unit with 2 liquid chemical fluid pumps;
  • Chemical reagent supply unit with 5 pumps;
  • Mobile chemical laboratory equipped with water, frac gel and proppant express testing equipment and tools;
  • Manifold, pumping unit, sand truck and other equipment.

Tubing Repair and Restoration

Types of performed operations:
  1. dosimetric control at the base entrance, visual inspection, screening of unsuitable materials;
  2. cleaning of external and internal surface;
  3. tubing inner size drift test;
  4. coupling break-out;
  5. electromagnetic, ultrasound and eddy-current tubing inspection;
  6. pipe threaded connection machining;
  7. coupling make-up;
  8. 400 atm tubing pressure testing;
  9. tubing labelling.

Well Cementation

  • From the acquisition of the companies the company maintains close cooperation with foreign companies, such as, Schlumberger, Halliburton and Rompetrol as well as Russian companies in order to improve well casing quality and successfully applies the production casing rotation and reciprocation technology.
  • The Company has 81 cementation equipment units, such as, Kenworth, Tiger, TsA-320М, АН -700.OU-25, BM-700.
  • The following plugging equipment is used: C-500 cementation unit (Kenworth), bulk cement trucks ТС-660 (TIGER), cementation control station (CCS), blending units, manifold block (BM-700).
  • Sulphate-resistant oil well cement, G category, is used as cement with various chemical additives: SIGB (lime mix for mining and drilling operations), RTM (expanding plugging material), OTM (lightweight cement).
